Botertrade is a private workspace for people who trade stocks and options for themselves. It puts the chart, the screener, the test and the journal on one desk, so a decision can be looked at from every side before it is made.
Botertrade is software. It shows market data, calculates measures from that data, runs tests over price history and keeps a record of what you do. The tools are listed, one by one, on the Products page.
It is for self-directed traders who want to see a position modelled and tested before they act. You must be 18 or older to create an account.

The rules we work by.
Tests firstA test that describes a change is written first and seen to fail, then the smallest code that makes it pass.
Run, not readBefore anything is pushed, the affected test suites must pass and the change is run in a browser or on the server, not only read.
The tracker firstA piece of work is written in the tracker before it is built, and closed with what was done and why.
It is descriptive and educational, not advice. Nothing on the desk is a recommendation about any security. Figures from models are labelled as models, and results from history are labelled as history.
Paper firstNew accounts practise with simulated money, and paper screens are labelled as paper.
Private per accountEach account has its own data store, separate from every other account.
Nothing loaded from elsewhere to read this siteThese pages use their own fonts and scripts and carry no advertising or session recording. What the app itself connects to is listed in the Privacy Policy.
Botertrade operates the Botertrade website and mobile applications. The agreement between you and Botertrade is the Terms of Service, and what happens to your data is set out in the Privacy Policy. Both open from the sign-in screen, and you are asked to accept them when you create an account.
